Who is behind M.A.S.H?
Barry Riley
Barry is an ex Royal Navy veteran, served 22 years onboard, Frigates, Destroyers, Aircraft Carriers and HM Royal Yacht Britannia, having previously served in the Territorial Army. With a daughter currently serving in the Royal Navy and son serving in the Army, Barry hopes that as well as undertaking the role of Secretary for M.A.S.H, he can put his experience as a Military veteran to good use in supporting M.A.S.H and its members.
Craig Leach
Craig or as otherwise referred to as the “Army Brat” is the current Chair of M.A.S.H. He is a committed supporter of Veterans and their Dependents ensuring they have access to high quality Health and Wellbeing support. He brings many years’ experience working in a construction and educational background, ensuring the highest quality of offerings are available to those in need and no gaps are left unfilled.
Elizabeth Fielding
Elizabeth Fielding- Treasurer and Bridlington Hub lead, Elizabeth moved to East Yorkshire thirteen years ago after retiring from The Legal Services Department at Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Elizabeth along with ensuring all financial obligations are met, aids in our fundraising endeavours. She is a keen advocate for the provision of assistance and support for veterans within the community.
Michelle Leach
Michelle Leach- Events coordinator and Community link worker (Volunteer) Michelle has been a prominent and constant advocate for M.A.S.H since its inception. Working tirelessly within the wider community to ensure the group has access to the highest quality support available. She plans all events and activities for the hubs and external events and trips guaranteeing all needs are met for M.A.S.H’s members. Michelle also supports in the community fundraising events ensuring sustainability of the group.
Sarah Green
Sarah is an R.A.F Widow who has been involved with the Armed Forces community since 1995 and has a daughter currently serving in the Royal Air Force. Sarah is a local Secondary School Teacher, with a background in Youth Work and is also a cadet instructor in the R.A.F section of Bridlington School Combined Cadet Force. Sarah is an enthusiastic supporter of M.A.S.H and is a keen team member, who strives to help make activities and events a success. She is looking forward to contributing more to the veterans community in the future.
Terry Benstead
Terry is recently retired after working for many years with vulnerable young people and offenders in West Yorkshire. He also has a long history of voluntary work in housing with older people. Having relocated to Bridlington, Terry has been involved with a number of voluntary organisations and was introduced to MASH only a few months ago and has been impressed by the commitment and enthusiasm of all the volunteers and the Trustees and is very much looking forward to becoming part of the team.
